Emily Law (2022/3)

Emily is currently in her 4th-year, pursuing a double major in Psychology and English at the University of British Columbia which is based on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Through her studies, Emily seeks to understand the individual in both intra- and interpersonal levels; specifically, how the interplay between the human mind, societal and cultural factors influence and create one’s identity. An avid storyteller, she spends her time thinking about the world and our place in it, sharing stories of her experiences as a 2nd-generation Chinese-Canadian settler. Outside of work, you can find her journaling, making music, building models or taking a nap!

This is Emily’s 2nd year with the Dialogues cohort. The eye-opening experiences she had last year has led her to re-apply, with a desire to continue those conversations with her peers. She strongly encourage those interested to consider applying as well!
